Front Page News!

The Humble Beagle is featured in today's Register Guard, on the cover of the business section! Check it out here...

We're really excited about the local attention because the busier we are, the more likely we'll be around to serve you and your families for years to come! A couple corrections to the article - my dad founded Humble Bagel with his good friend Chuck Bader in 1977, my mom entered the picture the following year. Also, my parents get credit for hiring Nick Russo, the genius behind the space.

Painting should start next week and the bamboo tabletops we ordered are on their way. My parents spent yesterday in Portland, shopping for comfy furniture to enjoy the fireplace from. Busy, busy, busy!

Loved the article in the RG about your new pub. Looks/sounds like a great new place. I hate to say, that I'm way too much into beer. The beer choices listed in the RG seemed, well boring. They were similar to everywhere else. We'd love to see beers that you can't get elsewhere in town. The beers from Calapooia, Block 15 are excellent and not available in Eugene. I'm excited to try the new beers from Hop Valley. How about some beers from Portland breweries, HUB? Terminal Gravity? Lagunitas, Stone, Avery? Humble Beagle should be a beer trendsetter instead of more of the same. I'll have to drive past the Beer Stein to get to your Pub, and that's where the real beer people in town hang out. Now if you could have better food, then people will be beating down your door. We need better pubs in Eugene. I'm sure your pub will be a cut above the rest.

I note that "March 2009" has turned to "Spring 2009"

Any idea when the grand opening will be? My taste buds are starting to get impatient.
